Reid Hwy Works Malaga Drive Interchange WA

In late 2014 Main Roads WA awarded Georgiou Group Pty Ltd the design and construction of the $65M Reid Highway Works Project in Perth.   The Reinforced Earth Company (RECO) was subcontracted to work with Georgiou Group to design and supply two sets of Reinforced Earth® bridge abutments.   Firstly, for a duplication of an existing bridge at the Reid Hwy Mitchell Freeway Interchange.   Secondly, for the installation of an interchange providing two new bridges to allow four lanes of Reid Highway traffic to flow uninterrupted over four lanes on Malaga Drive (pictured here).   Follow this link to read more.

Bells Creek Arterial Road Project QLD

Work is progressing well on the installation of the Reinforced Earth® piled abutment walls for the Pierce Avenue Bridge as part of the Bells Creek Arterial Road Project in QLD.   The structure requires 791m2 of TerraTilt® full height (varied thickness) precast concrete panels and 274m2 of TerraTrel® temporary wire wall.   The wire wall will enable the client to construct a new overpass diverting traffic whilst the existing overpass is demolished.   The Reinforced Earth Company (RECO) engineers provide propping designs and assistance to ensure these large panels are installed safely and efficiently.   This photograph was taken in late August and shows the abutment headstock being prepared as the reinforcing strips and backfill will create the supporting Reinforced Earth® block from behind.
