Building on its precasting expertise for transport infrastructure, Terre Arm\u00e9e has developed an offer for customized sound absorbing precast barriers. These barriers are made of panels with a reinforced concrete core and a sound absorbing layer on the face exposed to the source of noise. The material used and the geometry are specifically designed for the project. Ribbed porous concrete or wood concrete will constitute the sound absorbing layer and also provide sound reflecting capabilities.<\/p>\n

It is possible to include aesthetically pleasing finishes on the protected side of the panels for a better acceptance by the local communities. Panels with absorbing layers on both sides can also be designed to increase the noise mitigation performance of the barriers in complex environments with multiple traffic lanes. Our solutions fit in in the A3 and A4 sound absorption performance classes.<\/p>\n

The typical dimension of the panels is 5.0 meters x 2.4 meters. This can be adapted to specific requirements of the project. The panels can be overlaid to heights of 6 meters and above, providing for a straightforward modular installation on site.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
